FOOD VENDING MACHINES

These machines will vend plated meals, pies, pasties, snack foods etc., which can be heated in a microwave. Fruit, yoghurts and sandwiches can also be dispensed. The food is placed on a “carousel” which rotates to allow the user to make a selection. There are two types of Food Merchandiser. The first operates on a FIFO (first in first out) basis. With this system the food is placed on the carousel in date order, with the latest food being placed behind the existing selections. This ensures that the food which has been in the machine the longest is sold first. The second type of Food Merchandiser has a “Shopper” facility that enables the user to press a button which rotates the carousel before making a selection.
