Whilst this is not technically a vending issue it is a means of providing hot and cold drinks and therefore worthy on inclusion. By far the most widespread of the water coolers are the bottle water coolers. The equipment is either provided on a rental or a lease basis, and bottle water is delivered as required. The machines are available as either cold only, ambient and cold, or hot and cold versions.

If you don't want to pay for bottles, you can't get plumbing to where you want the cooler, you can't afford an air to water cooler - then the self fill cooler is ideal for you! You simply fill the cooler manually from tap water which is then filtered ready for drinking.

plumbed in coolers
Also known as POU (point of use) coolers,  there are an increasing number of in line, or plumbed in coolers finding their way into the UK marketplace, and when you weigh up the benefits, it's easy to see why!
Provided that you can get water from a rising main direct to the machine, this has to be the most cost effective solution.

bottle coolers
The traditional cooler with inverted 18 or 19 litre bottles on top. Sales are in dramatic decline and bottle coolers are graduallly being replaced by the other types of cooler

· Easy to use
· Portable...can be moved around if required

- Minuses
· Bottles are expensive
· Bottles can be awkward to manoeuvre into position

· someone has to carry heavy bottles
