KENCO SINGLES MACHINES
The same manufacturers who produce the Incup machines
manufacture the more modern “Closed” systems. Having identified a limitation
in the drink quality regarding the Incup system, the manufacturers set
about developing a system, which would provide individually made freshly
brewed coffee and tea.
The
drink is supplied in an either an individual foil sachet, or a capsule
that is then placed into the machine and the machine is activated. Water
flows through the ingredient under pressure, the drink is brewed, before
being dispensed onto the cup. These machines do indeed, provide an excellent,
if very expensive drink. If you consider the Incup system expensive, well,
this is double the price! However, the drinks are kept fresh in their
bags and there is little or no waste.
This equipment is predominantly targeted at users who have filter coffee
machines. As I mentioned earlier, filter coffee machines can create waste,
as the coffee stews. If you are in an environment where coffee is not
consumed quickly, and you are therefore constantly throwing away half
a pot of coffee, or more, then this type of system could be right for
you. If you are selling the coffee, then the relatively high cost need
not be an issue. Ideal sites for these machines are canteens, restaurants,
pubs, clubs, where high quality drinks are required. As the machines can
be either tank-fill or plumbed in, they are also suitable for meeting
rooms, or boardrooms where a high quality drink is required, but where
the room is not in constant use. On the downside, milk and sugar needs
to be added separately, (these are usually supplied in little pots (jiggers)
and sachets although free standing dispensers containing various drinks
are available. You still have to find somewhere to dispose of the jigger
and the sachet.
