These days most snack vending machines are refrigerated although some ambient (room) temperature machines are still available.

The machines traditionally vend confectionery and crisps items and having decided that you would like to have a snack vending machine on your premises, the only thing to decide is how many selections the machine should have. If you are having the services of a vending operator to provide a Fully Managed Operated Service you may ask them to look after your snack vending machine. In most cases, (because of the low profit margins in snack and confectionery items) the operator would provide the service, but would insist on retaining all profits from the machine. In some cases, if you can show that there will be a large throughput, you may convince an operator to place a machine free of charge in exchange for the profits from the machine. This of course, depends on the operator and the availability of the equipment, which is usually refurbished or remanufactured. Some of the larger confectionery manufacturers also offer this service, but limit you to using their products.
